The Top 4 Rated Social Media Management Tools of 2015

When it comes to social media tools, you have a lot to choose from.

There are tools for creating images for your social media channels along with tools to help you come up with content ideas and so on.

While these help with the creative side, it is important to focus on the management side as well.

This way you know what is going on with your businesses social media marketing at all times.

Today we’re going to focus on social media management tools of 2015.

While there are plenty available, four of them consistently come up when talking about different ways to manage your social media channels.

In this article, we’ll take a look at the top social media management tools of 2015 and help you determine which tools you should consider using in your business.

Top Social Media Management Tools of 2015

Here is a breakdown on the four social media management tools. Personally, I’ve used all of them with the exception of Sendible.

The Tools

1. Hootsuite

Hootsuite

Hootsuite is a tool that has been around since 2008. It currently runs around $9 per month, which is inexpensive for social media management tools.

They were primarily used for managing Twitter.

Since then, they have added support for Facebook, LinkedIn and most recently, Instagram.

When it comes to social media management tools, Hootsuite has the largest market share (likely because of their age). Their product is easy to use and good customer support.

Overall, it works well for managing social media channels, but it isn’t as feature-rich as some of the other options.

Currently, I use Hootsuite to manage my Twitter channels. It’s a tool I highly recommend if your business is primarily on Twitter.

2. AgoraPulse

AgoraPulse

AgoraPulse has been around since 2011 - so it’s a fairly new social media management tool, but don’t let that stop you.

The founder, Emeric Ernoult, is a personal friend who I’ve spoken with at length about the topic of community management on Facebook.

What makes AgoraPulse unique is that not only is it one of the top social media management tools of 2015, you get a lot of bang for your buck.

It runs $29 per month, but with that you get a powerful tool for managing your social media channels - Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram.

With that, you can also see mentions and comments.

In addition, AgoraPulse is unique in that you also get a tool for building Facebook apps and manging dark posts in Facebook Power Editor - which previously, was very difficult to do.

Overall, AgoraPulse is a great value when looking at social media management tools.

3. Sprout Social

Sprout Social
Another one of the top social media management tools of 2015 is Sprout Social.

They have been around since 2010. Currently, they are one of the more expensive options at $59 per month.

Like the other social media tools mentioned, they integrate with Twitter, Facebook, Google+, LinkedIn and Instagram.

With Sprout, you get a robust reporting and analytics tool.

You also get team functionality like you do with Hootsuite.

Overall, they were one of my favorite social media management tools until they increased their prices.

Currently, you could buy Hootsuite and AgoraPulse and end up with two very powerful tools for less than the cost of Sprout Social.

4. Sendible

Sendible

Our of the top four social media management tools of 2015, Sendible is one I haven’t used.

They have been available since 2009, which I find interesting because I’ve used all of the tools mentioned and been through countless updates and price increases and Sendible was never on my radar.

They currently run $59, which like Sprout Social, is expensive when it comes to social media management tools.

They do offer a 30-day trial so you can try them out beforehand if you like to see if they fit your needs.

Wrap-up

As you can see, there isn’t necessarily one social media management tool that does everything perfect.

Each one can help you manage your social media channels, but offers unique features when compared to one another.

For example, Hootsuite is a tool most users will use to manage their Twitter account.

AgoraPulse provides great support for Facebook Pages (along with other social media channel management).

My personal recommendation is to try each of the tools to see which one fits the needs of your business.

If your business primarily uses Twitter, be sure you pick a tool that helps you manage your tweets and followers.

Be sure that you don’t neglect managing your Facebook Page as well - even if you don’t post there too often.

This way you can know who is talking about your business and manage your online reputation.

Besides the top social media management tools of 2015, do you use any other tools to help you manage your social media channels?

If so, we would love to hear about them.
