In Instagram news, you can now shop Instagram Stories._

Why Shopping From Instagram Stories Matters For Your Business

Instagram is expanding shopping beyond your Instagram Feed.

You'll now be able to shop select brands such as Adidas, Artizia and Louis Vuitton from your Instagram Stories.

How to Shop Instagram Stories

When you are viewing Instagram Stories, you will now see a sticker with a shopping bag icon.

You can tap on it to see more details about the product and to then buy it.

To get the "shop from Instagram Stories" feature, be sure you update your app from your app store.

As a business, shopping Instagram Stories make a lot of sense. Not all of your customers see your updates in their feed. They may spend more time in Stories. Why not let your customers shop from both?

This is the first of what should be many more improvements to shopping from Instagram Stories.

You can read the announcement about shopping from Instagram Stories here.

Instagram @Mention Sharing

Also this week, Instagram rolled out @mention sharing in Instagram Stories.

Instagram Stories @mention sharing

Why Instagram @mention Sharing Matters For Your Business

Instagram is adding @mention sharing to Stories.

"When someone mentions you in their story, you receive a notification in your Direct message thread with that person — now, you'll see an option to add that content to your own story."

You can then tap to see the story (it will be a sticker) that you can scale, rotate or position it and add text, stickers and more.

In Instagram Stories, when you @mention someone, your followers can tap on it to explore that persons's Instagram Profile.

As a business, you should find this useful, especially if you're in a type of business where you meet with your customers quite often. These can be great opportunities to feature some of your customers, your staff and more in your Instagram Stories.

To get @mention sharing for Stories, be sure you update your Instagram app from your devices app store.

Improving customer service for Facebook advertisers

Why Improving Customer Service For Facebook Advertisers Matters For Your Business

Inaccurate shipping times or misrepresented products are becoming a big problem for Facebook.

In an effort to improve this, Facebook is rolling out a global tool that will let you "review businesses that they've made a purchase from with the hope of connecting more people with businesses that meet their expectations."

To access this new tool, go to the ads activity tab.

From there, you will be able to see the feedback that customers have left for your business to give you a chance to improve it (before further action is taken).

Overall, we're glad to see Facebook taking a stand on misrepresented products. There are plenty of businesses (and a lot of social media marketers) who misrepresent their products to customers. Facebook wants to begin to clean-up this the of content on their platform.

As a business, you should be concerned if you are the type of business that is deceptive to your customers.

Twitter personalized news notifications

The benefit here is you should be able to better stay on-top of what is happening in your location. You can also customize these around your interests and the people you follow.

If you need to, Twitter is giving you the option to disable these notifications as well.

As a business, be sure you spend the time customizing your Twitter account - set up your location, along with your interests. This way, Twitter can help ensure they show you the right content.

The first thing to do to get these features is to update your Twitter app from the app store. Next, you'll want to look under the recommendations settings to toggle news on or off.
