Previously, if you wanted to share multiple Instagram photos and videos at one time, you couldn't.

Thanks to a recent announcement, you can now share multiple photos and videos on one Instagram post.

On this episode of Social Snacks, we'll teach you how to create Instagram carousel posts when you want to share multiple photos and videos.

With the new carousel posts feature, this will also help you think more about telling a story when you go to share photos and videos on your Instagram channel.

How to Create Instagram Carousel Posts

1. Launch Instagram

The first thing you'll need to do is launch the Instagram app (iOS | Android).
 

2. Create a new Instagram post

Tap the plus sign.

Next, tap on "select multiples."
 

3. Select photos and videos

Choose up to 10 photos and videos to include in your Instagram post.

You can share 10 photos, 10 videos or mix-and-match and share photos and videos together in one post.
 

4. Add a filter to Instagram carousel posts

Tap on next.

At this point, you can scroll through the photos and videos for your Instagram carousel posts.

If you want to apply a filter to your entire carousel post, simply tap on a filter to apply it to all of the photos and videos that you selected.

Alternatively, you can apply a filter to just one photo or video by tapping on a single photo or video and then select an Instagram filter.
 

 

5. Write the caption for your Instagram post

The last thing to do is to write a caption for your Instagram post.

Be sure you tag anyone who is in your Instagram carousel posts.

You can also choose to share this post on other social media channels as well or disable Instagram comments for your post under the "advanced settings" option.

Once you've finished uploading multiple photos and videos to your Instagram post, you'll now see a photo with a series of dots.

Whenever you create Instagram carousel posts, they will have an icon on them.
