Facebook Launches Facebook Canvas
This week, Facebook rolled out Facebook Canvas.
Facebook Canvas is a way for businesses to "create an immersive and expressive experience on Facebook to tell their stories and showcase their products."
Many popular brands such as BMW, Carnival, Target and Wendy's are already using Facebook Canvas.
To start creating your own Facebook Canvas content, you have two options.
One way is to apply. This will let you create Facebook Canvas content from the canvas builder on Facebook Pages.
The other way is to use Facebook Power Editor.
Your Business Story on Facbeook
Also this week, Facebook announced a new tool for businesses to create "your business story" on your Facebook Page.
This new tool called Your Business Story, let's you select from Facebook Page photos, add music and text to describe your business to fans.
This new feature takes just a couple of minutes to help you create a quality video promoting your business on Facebook.
Facebook Ranks Live Video Higher In the News Feed
Another major update this week comes from Facebook. They announced, "we are making a small update to News Feed so that Facebook Live videos are more likely to appear higher in News Feed when those videos are actually live, compared to after they are no longer live."
See When Your Followers Are on Blab
Another announcement this week comes from Blab.
They’ve rolled out a new feature that shows when your followers are online.
This feature reminds us of how Facebook Messenger shares this same information so that you can engage with people when they are online.
New Swapface Snapchat Lens
One last announcement this week comes from Snapchat.
They’ve announced a new feature called swapface.
If you've ever used Face Swap Live, this lens will look very familiar - it's virtually the same thing except just on Snapchat.

BoardBooster
BoardBooster is a tool for managing your Pinterest channel.
Here are some of the things you can do with BoardBooster.
- Schedule pins
- Test pins for broken links
- Clean up unwanted pins and pinboards
- Identify your best performing Pinterest boards
- And much more
If your business relies heavily on Pinterest, this is a great tool to use to help you manage your Pinterest channels.
Try BoardBoosterGIF Brewery 3
Are you looking to create animated GIFs for your blog content or social media channels? One of our favorite tools to use is GIF Brewery.
This week, they launched GIF Brewery 3.
Normally, this is a paid app, but they're giving it away for free for a few days.
You can download it for free from the link below. In just a couple of minutes, you'll be creating your own animated GIFs.

The last tool we wanted to share this week is Waftio.
Waftio is a lead generation tool you can add to your blog or website.
What it does is it let's you add different lead capture tools to your site.
For example, they include a survey app that you can use to build your emails list and also gather feedback from your readers.
There is also a standard form option as well as a sweepstakes form if you run giveaways.
Overall, Waftio is a refreshing take for adding lead capture functionality to your site.
