Snap Camera For Snapchat Lenses

In Snapchat news, they have launched Snap Camera, a free application for Mac and PC users to experience Lenses on platforms such as Skype, Twitch, Google Hangouts, YouTube and more.

You can now use Snap Camera to tap into Snapchat Lenses on many of your favorite desktop applications such as Twitch, YouTube, Google Hangouts, OBS, XSplit Broadcaster and more.

Previously, if you wanted to use any of the Snap Lenses, you had to use your mobile device.

Now you can use Lenses during your live streams and video chats.

 

How To Use Snap Camera

  • Download the Snap Camera app on your desktop
  • Launch the Snap Camera app
  • Choose the Snap Camera as your webcam device
  • Select a Lens from the Featured Lenses

Removing The Twitter Like Button

In Twitter news, they testing removing the like button from tweets in an effort to encourage discussion..

Why Removing The Twitter Like Button Matters For Your Business

One of the problems with Twitter (and nearly every social media platform, is that while the "like" button helps a social media channel adjust your news feed based on content you say you are interested in, too many users just like content without engaging with a channel.

What you end up with are a bunch of likes on your tweets and very little conversation.

Music On Facebook Stories

You can now add music to your Facebook Stories.

Simply take a photo or video from the Facebook camera and then tap on the sticker icon. From there, select the music sticker.

You can now pick a song to share on your Stories to further customize your Stories.

Expanding Lip Sync Live

Facebook is also expanding Lip Sync Live this week.

All Facebook Profiles have access to Lip Sync Live.

Facebook is also opening it up to Facebook Pages so that you can interact with your fans.
 

Songs On Your Facebook Profile

One last update is the addition of songs on your Facebook Profile.

Soon, you will be able to showcase the artist and track on your Profile. Your friends will be able to listen to the music you like and see videos and photos of the artists.

From there, they can add their music to their own Profile or visit the artists Facebook Page.

Facebook wants to continue to encourage its users (and business owners) to share more information.

This time, they are launching a host of new music-based features.

For example, by adding the ability to add music to your Facebook Stories, you can make them more engaging, rather than you just going on camera.

As a business owner, especially a musician or celebrity, having the ability to have a lip sync live battle with your fans sounds enticing.

These new features are rolling out to mobile and desktop.

The first tool that we have discovered this week is RoutineHub (web).

Last week, we talked about the Shortcuts App from Apple.

The Shortcuts App is an iOS app for your iPhone and iPad, that helps you create powerful shortcuts to accomplish complex tasks.

For example, with just the press of a button, you can quickly have your iOS device resize a photo, share it on Instagram and much more in seconds.

If you're not a programmer though, but want to get the full use out of Shortcuts, consider checking out RoutineHub, a community for creating Siri shortcuts, which you can build using the Shortcuts app.

The great thing about this community is that developers have already created 1,000s of Shortcuts for you - from music to social media to utilities, business development and more.

For example, you can download views from your favorite social media channels with the help of Siri.

There are also Twitter search shortcuts, one to turn images into Stories with bitmoji stickers and more.

The second tool that we have for you this week is SeedProd (web).
