Instagram Branded Content Ads For Businesses

In Instagram news, they are rolling out Instagram branded content ads.

Instagram branded content ads make it easy for "advertisers to promote creators" organic branded content posts as feed ads." Here’s a look at a branded content ad.

An example of Instagram branded content

Essentially, Instagram branded content ads make it easy for businesses to reach targeted audiences. Creators get the opportunity to promote promote sponsored content on Instagram the right way - ads display that it’s a paid partnership.

To create branded content ads, follow these steps.

How To Create Instagram Branded Content Ads

  1. Content Creators need to enable their business partner to promote their post as an ad under "Advanced Settings"
  2. The Business Partner needs to look under Ads Manager > Existing Posts, and choose to run the ad in feed or Stories format

Why Instagram Branded Content Ads Matter For Your Business

When you use Instagram branded content ads, you have an opportunity to grow the organic reach of your content on Instagram.

While this means you’ll start to see more Instagram ads, you’ll be able to serve your content up to shoppers that are interested in what you have to offer.

You can read more about Instagram branded content ads here.

New: Facebook Avatars

In Facebook news, they are rolling out Facebook Avatars, selfie stickers that are similar to Bitmojis from Snapchat.

Custom Facebook Avatars, selfie stickers that mimic Snapchat bitmojis.

Right now, Facebook Avatars are launching in Australia, but will be rolled out to other countries later in 2019.

Why Facebook Avatars Matter For Your Business

While Facebook Avatars don’t look as cool as Snapchat Bitmoji or have the personality, you’ll be able to use them in comments, Messenger chats and more to give your conversations more authenticity.

Another thing with Facebook Avatars is that you’ll be able to customize their face, hair and clothes to create a virtual selfie sticker that you can share. You’ll unfortunately have to create your Facebook Avatar from scratch - no selfie or profile photo to mimic.

Remember, you may not see the smiley-face button in your News Feed comment composer (yet). In the meantime, you can read more about Facebook Avatars here.

LinkedIn Ad Review

In LinkedIn news, they are rolling out a new feature on their blog called LinkedIn ad review.

Are you interested in running LinkedIn sponsored content to run native ads on LinkedIn, but don’t know where to start or what makes a successful ad?

LinkedIn is rolling out a new monthly blog series called LinkedIn ad review, that will analyze LinkedIn sponsored content.

Why LinkedIn Ad Review Matters For Your Business

During a LinkedIn ad review, you’ll learn why a headline, visual and copy for native ads on LinkedIn worked.

This way you can see examples of successful LinkedIn sponsored content that you may want to mimic in your own business.

Here’s a look at this week’s LinkedIn ad review of Autodesk.

Expanding Twitter Account Switching

In Twitter news, they are rolling out faster account switching on mobile, Twitter Lite and Twitter for Windows.

Why Faster Twitter Account Switching Matters For Your Business

Previously, if you wanted to switch between different Twitter accounts, you had to logout and back in to another Twitter account. This was not only confusing, but could lead to your accidentally tweeting from the wrong account.

As a business owner, you’re likely very busy. By adding faster Twitter account switching, this can help minimize mistakes.

Remember, you’ll be able to switch between accounts from mobile.twitter.com, the Twitter Lite app and Twitter for Windows. Just tap the dropdown from your profile photo to switch to another Twitter account.
